Why not take advantage of the lack of water in
Minneahaha Creek (it's currently bone dry) to do some
cleanup? If there's a silver lining to seeing
assorted cans, shoes, and other detritus in the Creek
bed, it is that it is easily picked up (it's also
where kids can get at it, and possibly a health/safety
risk). Does anyone know who in City government is
responsible for this?

Not to lose sight of the forest for the trees (ocean
for the creek?), exactly why is the Creek dry in a
non-drought year? I don't particularly care how thick
the ice pack over the Arctic is, but when Minnehaha
Creek goes completely dry, I take notice.
