A regular reminder for new members...and a refresher for long-timers...clip-n-save! 1. Digest mode. If you're overwhelmed with individual messages, try digest mode, where 5-8 messages are bundled together. All you need to do is send a message to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED], no subject, and in the body, type: set mpls-issues mail digest That's it. You'll have to cut-and-paste a bit more when responding, and put on the appropriate header. Also, you won't get messages as fast, as Digest waits for a bunch of 'em before sending. 2. Surprise un-subscribing. Our message server is very sensitive; if your server goes down, even briefly, it will automatically unsubscribe you. This is a high-traffic list, so if you haven't gotten messages for a couple of days, especially during the week, just re-subscribe. From the address where you want to receive messages, send an email to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED], no subject, and in the body, type: subscribe mpls-issues Your Name If you were subscribed in Digest mode, repeat #1 on this list. You can do both at the same time, as long as they are on separate lines. 3. Our home page. Where the rules and guidelines live. Please read at least once: http://www.e-democracy.org/mpls-issues/ 4. The Delete key. It's amazing how often people forget this one reading the list. There's a tendency to be completist, and on a high-traffic list like this one, you can be overwhelmed. Don't feel compelled to read everything - there's no test. Delete message threads you think are dumb (or addresses you regard similarly) and your stay with us will be much more pleasant. 5. Contacting me: if you ever have any questions, comments, etc. that aren't for the whole list, my address is mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Those are the basic ones. Thanks everyone for being here.
