The local councils have done some great things.  And I agree that the Boy
Scouts can be changed from inside.  

However, I do find it offensive that the BSA nationally raises money from
right wing theocratic fanatics using anti-gay bigotry to raise money for
their legal case, then they play this innocent "who us, we're just doing
good works in the community."  

I wonder if folks would feel the same about the boy scouts if they had a
racially discriminatory policy...

I think Lisa McDonald said it well about it being important to find out
where the Viking Council stands on this issue.  I think it would also be
interesting to verify that it isn't an option for BSA councils to affiliate
with the non-discriminatory Scouts Canada.
