While I will queue up in the voting booth line, I haven't joined any queues
to 'honk' in support of... I think the voting public is looking for more
than PR gimickery in return for their tax dollars. Of course, the bottom
line is that we get what the majority votes for... for better or worse.
I believe taxpayers have been taken advantage of in Minneapolis and as
fundamental problems within the City budget come to light with the general
public, fewer City taxpayers will accept the status quo in the future. It's
too bad that TIF projects don't have to face the public via annual referenda.
