CELEBRITIES, CORPORATIONS UNITE TO SUPPORT
COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS FUND's E-BAY CHARITY AUCTION


MINNEAPOLIS (October 29, 2000) What do Sun Country Airlines,
photographer Wing Huie Young and author Barbara Kingsolver have in
common?
They are all contributors to the Community Solutions Fund's  Road Less
Traveled Auction, which begins today on E-bay.  The ten-day auction
kicks off the Fund's participation in Give Back Day 2000.
 The Fund invites the general public to support Give Back Day 2000 by
bidding on over 45 items donated by celebrities and corporations. Sun
Country Airlines contributed two round trip tickets to any destination
in the U.S. and an original manuscript of Barbara Kingsolver's book
Animal Dreams.  Also up for auction is a special print by
nationally-acclaimed photographer Wing Young Huie.  Huie's photographs
were recently exhibited in store windows along Lake Street in

The auction is part of the Community Solution Fund's 2000/2001 giving
campaign, a Million for Minnesota.

Community Solutions Fund, a collaboration of 42 service agencies,
neighborhood groups and advocacy organizations dedicated to meeting
community needs and creating lasting, positive change.  Founded in 1979,

Community Solutions Fund supports social change in the community by
raising funds for member organizations through a payroll deduction
campaign; by raising awareness of social action issues among current and
potential donors; by allowing donors a channel for their dollars, time,
energy and skills; and by strengthening the ability of social action
groups to collaborate and respond to emerging needs and issues.
