This issue raises a question in my mind. A few years ago, there was the Bus Hub plan for 42nd Street near Nicollet. Almost a year ago, the 38th Street ramps-to-I35W thing. And now the Cedar LRT station catastrophe. Is there a team of MnDOT-MetroTransit-MetCouncil people whose job is to figure out ways to slip the shaft to the Mpls neighborhoods? It seems way too many people are having to spend way too much time defending the neighborhoods to those 'so-called' public servants in St Paul. So what's next - how many 'radars' do we have on the early warnings? I suppose St Paul thinks that if they keep it up all them activists will burn-out and whoopee for cement & asphalt. end of rant. >A big public thanks to Jim Niland for thwarting the >effort to plant a transfer station smack dab in the >middle of the Cedar Hi-Rise parking lot and garden >space.
