Jordan and list members this is great topic for our discussion.
IN the Ninth ward there are two seemingly motivated and serious
candidates challenging Kathy Thurber. Michael Guest and Gary Schiff. I,
as a delegate to next year's convention, have received several pieces of
mail from each dating back to April.
I have heard from several informants that people are being actively
recruited to challenge Joan Campbell in the Second Ward. Cam Gordon and
Tony Solgard are names I've heard discussed. Last campaign's opponent,
Dan Cofer, appears to have left the neighborhood.
Dore Mead is leaving in the Eleventh. Jim Niland in the Sixth. I've
heard that Lisa McDonald might run for Mayor leaving the Tenth an open
seat. Cherryhomes likewise with the Fifth potentially up for grabs.
Moving to the South again, I have also heard rumblings about
Colvin-Roy's performance representing the 12 though after years of Deny
Schulstad, constituents may just be getting used to having different representation.
