Thanks for the wonderful update, Gus.  I had a feeling about this and that's 
why I was one of the few who did not vote for the referendum.  It really 
aggrevates me that we are told we are receiving enough information to make an 
informed decision, and then something like your explanation comes out and 
it's apparent that we have had the wool pulled over our eyes once again.  
Always we mortgage the future to get what we want today.  One of these days 
the City is going to have to pay the piper.

To take money out of the Public Works budget is a travesty.  Already our 
streets, roads and services are beginning to feel the pinch.  This will only 
make it worse and five years from now we'll all sit around and write on this 
Issues List - "why did it happen and we didn't know about it."
