Well, there were no purple balloons to identify the group so we spent lots
of time figuring out who everyone was. And then we had to holler and
scream over the great music...
so here is my summary of the evening that I sent to someone else who showed
up too early and missed us, never-the-less...
the time was 7:30 and yes the music was great and for the fifteen + of us
that showed up and took over two + booths it was great... but really hard
to talk and then in the end my eyes were running and my nose dripping from
all that awful cigarette smoke. Erik Reise stated an interesting tidbit:
"it's weird to look at the crowd here and realize that all the people who
are still here that I knew from years ago when I frequented this place is
that they come here every night to go to the bar...what a waste". For some
of us old west bank hanger outers this is so true.
But we all said we had a good time, and it really is fun to put the face
with the name and next time we'd better go north and be able to talk as a
group a little more easily...so I propose .... Dusty's here we come or
somewhere up North for a March 19th (post-St. Patrick's day bash) and the
interim ward campaign "gossip" session.
Any comments...
