Someone asked if in other states wine sales in grocery stores affected liquor store business. In Wisconsin where you used to be able to buy pretty much anything anywhere anytime - my experience was that you could pick up a cheap bottle of wine or a six pack at the market conveniently.  If you wanted anything decent, you planned to go to the liquor store. Two different kinds of sales for two different reasons.  One minimally affected the other. (When are we going to discuss being able to buy beer  on Sunday for when friends drop in to see the game?)
 
Oh - and to Barb Lickness - usually wine drinkers aren't looking for the "latest Merlot" or "new Cabernet".  Just the opposite!!
