Saturday night the Minneapolis city Republicans held a Hugh event near
downtown that was very heavily attended. Many well known guest speakers
from inside and outside the Republican party. It was a great evening. One
of the special guests that we had from outside the Republican circles was
the newly elected vice-chair of the Hennepin County Board Independent Mark
Stenglein. Man.. did he great a great reception! He also dropped the hint
that he maybe running for Mayor of Minneapolis. If there is one person that
can give the city new life, leadership, direction, and inspire people ...
it's Mark Stenglein. I know that Commissioner Stenglein has a clear cut and
no nonsense approach to issues that allows him to work with Democrats,
Republicans, Independents, and the like. I hope he decides to run, he would
be great for the city.
