Thanks Linda and Keith...
I don't have any problem with the modular homes. I agree that they make
the homes more affordable. Its just that attached garage thing that is
puts the bee in my bonnet. On the other hand if houses (modular and built
on site) sell I don't think I have much that I can say about it because it
is a consumer choice issue.
The house I live in was built by Powderhorn CC. It has a detached garage
and a nice back yard because of that. It is a 1 1/2 story with 3
bedrooms. When we moved into it, all of our friends called it "cute". It
feels a little cramped with 40 years of accumulated junk but that could be
cured by calling 825-TUBS.
It is just an aesthetics thing. I like having a backyard to play in, grow
flowers, and feed birds. I don't mind having to walk to the garage - even
yesterday.
And Keith - thanks for your efforts on all of these housing efforts. The
attached garage houses are better than boarded up houses that have sat
empty so long that they are unable to be rehabbed.
Maybe these things are wired for the beginning of the 21st century. I
don't know because I haven't been in one. But if you get bored and are
looking for something else to do please make sure that they are nicely
wired.
