The Strib has a nice online piece about Mayor Sayles Belton's announcement
today:

e&slug=mayo16

(If the link breaks, go to their home page (http://www.startribune.com) and
look toward the bottom under Headlines.

Anyway, at the end of the story, Strib reporter Rochelle Olson gets reaction
to the mayor's speech from an opponent.

I quote:

"Even before the mayor's bus rolled today, Rybak lobbed a criticism at
Sayles Belton's decision to visit Nokomis, which is near the Minneapolis-St.
Paul Airport. 'Like the swallows returning to Capistrano, every four years
Sharon comes back to tell everyone she knows it's loud and THIS TIME she's
going to do something about airport pollution,' Rybak wrote in an online
forum. He has been an airport noise activist and is expected to campaign on
the issue."

...So the public gets an opposing view (and I'd argue, a more timely and
complete story) thanks in part to our "online forum."
