Although Loki Anderson, David Brauer, Eva Young, and others have largely already
echoed my thoughts (and I won't belabor the point), let me say that I have looked at
the website. From what I've seen, the site brings up a number of issues that,
frankly, we're discussed here at the forum. If you don't care for the which issues
were picked and which we not, that's one thing. However, the site seems to be quite
substative on the issues that are discussed. Anyone else is free to create their own
website if they believe there are issues that should be discussed and are not being
discussed by acityforneighbors.org.
Finally, if Mr. Barisonzi is racist because the organization he chairs gave a
relatively poor score to Brian Herron (44% "good neighborliness"), then what does it
say that the organization gave at least six white councilmembers lower scores yet
(Ostrow, Biernat, and Johnson 33%, and Cherryhomes, Campbell, Thurber at 0%)?
Matthea will need to explain further to answer this question of supposedly blatant
racism when half of the Council (all white) received a lower score.
