The Strib story on the Stonewall DFL's re-definition of "acceptable" at:

(If you have to seek it out on the Strib's metro-page site, the story is
curiously buried beneath a headline about St. Paul housing
affordability...can't you Strib web guys break out individual stories
online?)
Stonewall ratings at:

Fred Markus notes:
>How interesting that in the Sixth Ward, Barb Lickness is not even listed as
>having participated in the process, when in fact she gave a sturdy and
>thoughtful in-person presentation that compared well to the presentations
of
>Jonathan Palmer and Dean Kallenbach. Shada Buyobe-Hammond, whose name is at
>least listed, made no appearance at the Stonewall DFL screening event.
In the 10th, I'm also wondering about Dan Niziolek, who isn't listed. I
wasn't there, but didn't he screen? I noticed Ann Berget is now rated
acceptable (but unendorsed), and I would expect Dan would fall into that
category, too. What happened to bump him off the site?
One other side note: it's interesting no school board members are listed.
Based on my research for the Candidate Directory
(http://www.e-democracy.org/mpls/2001.htm), the two remaining incumbents
have not made up their minds about running again...the city convention is
two months away, with one open seat already, and if the incumbents don't go
again, there will be three open seats. Hopefully, some good DFLers are
waiting in the wings!
