First, since I seem to have become somewhat infamous amongst certain DFL
activists, let me assure them that I will not ask to be seated as a delegate
at the 6th ward endorsing convention. Others who are active with the Green
Party will make their own decision.
I wonder, though, if Mr. Stafford would require that any people who
supported Ralph Nader cease their support of DFL'ers, such as Karen Clark or
Linda Berglin? Should we be barred from campaigning for Martin Sabo -- or
Paul Wellstone?
Until such time as the Green Party fields candidates in these races, I would
hope that my time & energy would still be welcomed in support of progressive
DFL candidates.
For those who quake in fear of a Buchanan-style commandeering of the
DFL....well, if you believe that will happen, I can offer you a great deal
on a bridge in Brooklyn....
