A couple of hundred of vacant lots or boarded houses are insignificant when you look at the whole metro area. My town of Rogers has under 500 buildable lots left. That's just one little town at the top of the county. This town was swallowed up in under 10 years. We are a metro area of over 2.4 million people. Growing at a staggering rate. What we ought to study is this. Why is it that simple lots in SW Mpls (check out 5144 Thomas Ave S.) Sell for over $120,000. And then get a $500,000 home built on them, while lots on the North Side sit for DECADES. What are the underlying reasons for this disparity?
