I wanted to wait to post this until I had all the details firm, but
conversation seems to have gotten ahead of me, so I'll post what I know
right now:
There WILL be a mayoral candidate forum for those seeking DFL endorsement,
sponsored by several of the city's community newspapers. I have several
dates in April that we're working with, and I'm lining up the location. Lisa
McDonald and R.T. Rybak have both told me they are eager to take part, and
the mayor's campaign manager has been working with me as well. In short, I
have had NO indication that the mayor will not take part, and every
indication that she will--contrary to whatever rumors are out there.
I will post more information on date, time and place when everything is set.
I will issue an invitation now, however, for anyone's ideas about questions
and/or format for the forum. I'm always interested in fresh perspectives.
