Maybe there should be a reprise of those Looking for Rudy ads--except this
time they could star RT and Lisa looking for the mayor....... They could
even do the schtick about the "nice car"....... ROTFL.....
If the Mayor is too busy to attend the forum, perhaps there can be a forum
anyway--and let it be quite clear that the Mayor was invited to attend.
I'm ccing Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton, and again making a plea. The voters
of Minneapolis (and the DFL delegates who are going to make the decision at
the city convention) deserve to see a debate between the candidates for
endorsement. Please, Mayor Sayles Belton, join in the debate. It will be
good for the city we all live in. There isn't any "Rose Garden" in the
Minneapolis downtown area (that's in Lake Harriet), so the "Rose Garden"
strategy is the wrong one here. It makes you look like you are chicken to
defend your record in the context of political opponents.
And if scheduling is really a problem perhaps we can have an online debate?
