As someone who recently, albeit briefly, found himself the subject of a
thread (attack is perhaps too strong a word), I disagree.  Yes, candidates
may attract more flak than us "ordinary" folk -- but I'm sure that most
candidates have their adherents on the list, who could step up to defend if
necessary.

Several people have invited the candidates to post and interact with this
list. If they are to do so I would advocate for a waiver of the two post
rule for them. Otherwise they could quickly find themselves in a situation
of repeated attacks from multiple fronts with no ability to defend or
respond to the. Does not seem fair to me.
