Most of us, wherever we live, don't want to be mugged, raped or shot.
We also want to be treated decently and fairly by the people in
authority.  We want our neighbors to be treated decently and fairly,
too.  These things should not be mutually exclusive.

occasionally than have my place broken into all of the time and get shot
