I am wondering if anyone has information about how Minneapolis electoral
politics is being linked with ongoing community organizing/community
coalitions. Are any of the candidates running not only to get elected, but
also to build the capacity of community-based coalitions to have stronger
influences on elected officials? I know this sounds counterintuitive, but I
assume that some elected officials view strong community-based coalitions as
essential as electoral politics for the renewal of democracy.
