The only way I see any hotel facility used by Allina is a long-shot idea: If Allina pursues the Sears building as a HQ site and integrates more hotel rooms (as an addition to the Wasie Center which is a private hotel currently on ANW campus) into a HQ which includes restaurants and commercial on the first floor of the Sears building. Unless we make it happen, I think Allina developing the Sears building is only a conversation and a vision without much energy at this point. Currently, Abbott Northwestern recommends that patient families not leave campus after dark for safety. I can't imagine Wells Fargo feeling any differently, especially in light of the new development within their own campus to create an isolated/insulated work campus for their employees. Let's stick to the facts about what this hotel represents, who it is likely to "serve", the low-income/potentially transient jobs it may create, and the neighborhood it would change (housing it would remove) to create this particular commercial development. -- Kim ____________________________________________________________ Kimberly Goodman 37th & Park ____________________________________________________________ ------------------------ Yahoo!
