Wizard Marks writes:

This is David's side of the story. From Sabri's point of view everyone has a
price. If the Monsour's were offered either a similar house in another
part of the neighborhood or having their house move to another part of the
neighborhood, they would go. Ken Florwers and Corrine Zala both bought to
put businesses in the buildings when they could afford to. Dave Coral
doesn't want to hear any more wrangling, period. So would others. The
nasty note, unsigned, which came to the Lors may have been the final straw
that drove them away, but it could also mean they got the price they wanted
and were planning to go anyway.

EY: I understand this note had death threats, and threatened actions
against the Lors children. I have not seen the note, but if someone knows
the text of the note, it would be nice if it got posted on this list. The
Lors did report this to the police. The question is how much was this
investigated. Calling a death threat a "nasty note" minimizes the very
serious problem that note has on the recipients.

Wizard continues:

When the possibility of a deal is far enough along, there will be community
meetings where soimething with the possibility of having reality behind
will be laid out. Until then, everything is speculative.

Yup, this reminds me of the way Park Av Methodist church "worked with the
neighborhood", and got their alley turn over lots of objections. Anyway, I
appreciate that Robert Lilligren stated his position on this. Hopefully
Brian Herron will also state his position on this issue soon.
