While I suspect it will not solve the entire problem, I do think that providing 
and maintaining a variety of kinds of kiosks and "posting boards" open to all 
has real advantages.  There are several businesses and institutions in 
Minneapolis that  do allow this both inside and outside their buildings and it 
provides a real service both to those with information to offer and those 
seeking services, entertainment opportunities, employment etc. 

I think that if neighborhood groups and folks living in the area were 
supportive, putting up creative kiosks at the smaller, and larger, commercial 
"hubs" in the city is an idea worth exploring.
