I called Rick after reading the Erickson piece because I thought the
reference was to the city being run by women. I have been known to call
Jackie and Sharon, Queen Jackie and Queen Sharon depending on the occasion.
I also have an article written in some National magazine about the Women in
power in Minneapolis with the councilwomen, mayor and city coordinator all
standing around something and the article talking about the unusual sight
of so many women in political leadership in one city. And Wizard is right
they love the floor and work of reining in the herds. And if this were the
interpretation it could mean all men but the Megan Thomas posts ring true
about the "gay" communities participation in all of this. Those same "men"
whomever they all have always really worked hard for me too.
>I have lots and lots of comments in my analysis of the 6th but I am trying
to stay out of sight on this list serve when it comes to politics these
days. And most of it is not a pretty picture. I saw lots of garbage and
mud slung not only today but the past six weeks in the 6th. The low voter
turnout still seems to be lingering in most of the city.

>And if looks could kill there are about 5 DFL men that are out for my
hide. All of the women at least still smile and say hello. Very
interesting for a "junkie" like me.
One reason the robin is such a popular bird is that it brings the first
news of a drop in your winter's fuel bill. ~Quotoon
