I really enjoyed Mr. Meko's post the other day. I think we all forget what political freedom we really have in this country. What's really most fortunate is that we are lucky enough to always have new immigrants coming to this country that can remind us of how fortunate we are. If I followed this story here, Mr. Meko met candidate Barb on Minneapolis Issues. Is that correct? They somehow became friends and she invited him to participate in his first political meeting since coming to the United States. That's an awesome story in itself. I'd like to know more about how that transpired. Barb? I don't know who Barb is, but, she sounds like a special person. How many people or political candidates for that matter would reach out to a new immigrant and think to get them engaged in the political process? Especially knowing they could not vote for you.
