Southwest Community Education Spring Clean-Up-- Sat. April 21st, 2001 * Raking/clean-up of grounds at Southwest High School * Clean-Up around Lake Calhoun * Clean-Up around Lake Harriet * Clean-Up along Minnehaha Creek from Xerxes to 35W Call 612-668-3100 to sign up for a particular clean-up project Bring a rake if you have one... plastic bags and work gloves will be provided. Be at main entrance of Southwest HS (47th St., just east of Chowen Ave. So) at 8:30 a.m. Sat. Juice, coffee and rolls will be available when you arrive. Buses will take you to clean-up project sites at 9:00 a.m. Buses will return you to Southwest at 11:30 a.m. and a deli-style lunch will be provided for all workers. A second part of this project involves planting bushes, trees and perennials at Southwest HS on Sat., May 26th (rain day is Sat., June 2nd). Come meet your neighbors and make some new friends while you help clean up the city and school grounds.
