Tim,
Thanks for the news. This is the first I've heard of if it. That seems
to be the problem. Timing. I say to myself,' if only I knew back in 1991
that the city had the reroute of 55 in mind; there was still time to
call them on the EIS'.
Unfortunately we had six years and supposedly that's enough time.
American Indians have little regard for time and I can see why, a bad
decision does not get better with it.
It seems that not only here but in other places the burden of proof is
never on the side of government or on business. It seems it's always on
us. This stuff is never discussed openly. My suspicion that Lisa M is
not much different than SSB seems to be on the mark. oh well,.......
I've heard that a school belongs to it's students and I believed that
tripe( until I was 12, I think) along with how the US is the greatest
democracy on the face of the earth. The young people are just that,
young but the adults of this society give them zero consideration.
The students would say otherwise, I would bet the farm that they would
want the trees saved or as many as possible.
But now I'm not so naive, I know the mission of government is total
destruction of our biosphere. So that maybe we're completely helpless.
We will not be able to make it without them. The power of the
unconsciousness at it's best.
In other Mpls news I went to the rally at the convention center this
morning and handed out information to Excel stockholders.
This is about getting clean electricity. Currently we buy 40% from
Manitoba Hydro. The dams have caused all sorts of problems for the Cross
Lake band of Cree.
Everyone should have the satisfaction of preserving their environment so
early in the morning. Not only ours but everyone's including future
generations who will make it as humans or sadly as some genetically
modified organism.
It's up to you not to heed the call up,
Robert Yorga
