Here is my reasoning behind asking for endorsement from Stonewall. Of course I'm
queer as a set of purple teeth, but that would not have led me to the caucus. I
asked my household to support me first. When I had an unqualified yes, I went to
a few friends in library land for support and to a few politicians I know who
could help me with support. Once I had enough confidence in that, I took it to my
GLBT-community/extended family/tribe--whatever. Thinking that if my own won't
back me, there would be no point in going on. Their endorsement gave me a lot of
confidence to stand up and ask AFSME-Labor to endorse me. And to ask the DFL for
endorsement. (sorry for the fragment, it's late).

My thanks to all who helped me, particularly Lynell Mickelson who gave me money to
help print out some lit.
And to all the people on the list for discussing the library in such depth so I
knew what folks were thinking about. The practice was great!

And, thank all of you delegates who voted for me. I really appreciate it.
I never thought I'd run for a public office; boy, it is weird!
