lengthens download times.

Contending that "other Sayles Belton supporters on
this list prefer not to post, wanting to avoid the
subsequent insults and sarcasm" smacks of its own
sarcasm. Not all loyalists are hacks, and not all
sarcasm is unfounded. I think we can find good and
bad rhetoric on all sides (for the record, I support
RT), so let us please try to be even-handed in
our assessments and critiques.
As for measuring candidate support by the number
of "for" or "against" posts on this list: we can
share ideas and offer "why I support/oppose
Lisa/RT/Sharon" posts, but we also know when and where
the real voting will take place. Until then, I'm sure
many of us are content to read posts and agree or
disagree privately (lurking), rather than flooding the
list with hundreds of "me, too" replies. When people
need to post, they usually will.
