This came from the 5th Precinct's SAFE Unit. - forwarded by David Brauer, list manager We at the SAFE Unit realize that many problems that exist in the community deal with the appearance of houses, garages and property. Now you can access our Housing Inspections Department while using your computer. The Inspections Department has just added a page on the City of Minneapolis web page where citizens can report housing inspection complaints via the Internet. The address is: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/inspections To request that an inspector look into a possible code violation, follow these instructions: 1. When the web page opens, click on "Report A Problem". 2. The next screen gives several options. Click on "Report Possible Code Violations." 3. The next screen gives you a form to complete, providing basic information about the address and a description of the possible code violation. If you would like a copy of your request for service, go to the bottom and type in your e-mail address. Click on "Send Me A Copy" and a copy of you request is e-mailed back to you. Your personal contact information is confidential and not released to the public. To give feedback to the Inspections Management Team (i.e., suggestions on service delivery, ideas to improve upon the web page, express satisfaction and/or dissatisfaction with an individual's performance, etc.) Follow these instructions: 1. When the web page opens, click on "Contact Us" 2. The next screen gives several options. Click on "Give Us Feedback". The next screen gives you a form in which you may enter your comments. At the bottom is an area for you to fill in your contact information so that, if you desire, someone from the Inspections Management Team can follow-up with you. This screen also includes the same "Send Me a Copy" feature as above. Your personal contact information is confidential and is not released to the public. -end release- _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - Minnesota E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
