I have to jump in......
>From my posts people would get the impression I'm highly idealistic and I am. I also
speak my mind.
I believe in building the Green Party. I also believe the best person for the job,
the right fit. Ernie Belton, god bless him, was not the right man or the right fit,
for the park board, whether he was green, red, blue, dfl, whig, republican,
whatever....imho
And it shows as he's moving on, good luck to him. Though if the park board would
have had more Annie Young's we could have slowed MnDot down... a little. Ernie, as I
remember was concerned about being sued by MnDot, and that was his reason for
handing the land over for scalping.....Too harsh, not really. Thanks for dropping
by......
On a related note, the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District gets a nod from me for
doing the right thing and Continuing to do the right thing even before it was
fashionable to "Do The Spring" as SSB will probably call this one. Thank God for
little miracles. We'll see how the politicians fall come next week.
MnDot should just follow the law, the manmade as well as the spiritual law of
preserving the essence of life. Water.
At the highway 55 encampment the earthfirsters! had to form a committee to move a
pile of firewood, the Dakotah couldn't understand this. If something needed doin'
just do it. Lord knows there was plenty to do. So common sense shouldn't get lost in
this....Common sense isn't so common though.....
We believe the process is as important as the product, this makes us unique to the
other parties...we should and can attract people to the green party because of this,
regardless of background.
I understand the fine line and I think it comes down to the candidate's speech (not
just the one tomorrow) and how they have carried themselves in the past.
If these people do the right thing the green party will get built. If they follow
the principles...
But remember we should be skeptical of all people who desire political power...
Also remember this is an experiment taking place not in a laboratory but within a
living organism, I will refrain from using the term "Real World". The real world as
some people tell us is a choice between people's homes and their parks or places of
worship, what kind of choice is that? Not a choice I want to make anymore, thank you
very little Carol.
What will you sacrifice? In the future, more than you can imagine.
Because frankly I would rather have water than money.
Put that in your pipe.....
Caw!,
