The Transportation and Public Works Policy Committee, on June 5, and the
Ways and Means Policy Committee, on June 7, have agenda items to consider
the City's Litter Container programs. At the request of Council Members,
staff developed various litter container service options with capital and
operating costs, and grouped them into four basic scenarios: (1) A
"Pristine" option, (2) A "Very Clean" option, (3) The Downtown and High
Traffic Option, and The "More Containers than Now" Option. The Committees
can recommend either a grouped option, or any combination of services to the
full Council for consideration.
