I shouldn't have been so breezy last night... What makes any community group, professional or not, "ours" is community interest. I think I remember reading that it's important psychologically to each of our health to take a broader interest than in ourselves, so if you're a movie buff, get out to see the films when they first come out -- be in a wider movie audience; if you're a dance buff, be in a theater, not just watching it on the small screen in your home; and the same principle applies with sports. So, we bond around our sports teams -- and this year we have a young team who act like a Team with a capital "T", which makes it feel more like "us" to me. Sure they don't come from the area, that's not how pro sports work, but I always felt like baseball with its longer season was more of a family game and surely its fans were more intellectual!! Ahem. Anyway, not to reopen the ballpark debate here, just thinking this Cleveland series would lighten some of the postings about property tax reform lately. Important, but H-E-A-V-Y. And, the game was entertaining and harrowing last night.
