My Grandson goes to Riger's Edge Daycare which is on the street Franklin
Terrace - across the street and to the right is a strip of land and to the
left the dogpark. However, when in Riverside Park that Oak Tree is closer
to when you come into the park off Riverside Ave.
I think that whole area is called Riverside Park probably in the mind's of
all of us in the area. I meet with a women's group down on the River in
what is referred to as Lower Riverside Park. I'm sure it is considered
Riverside Park also. And then there's that part back where the archery
bales were - what is that leg called.
I have the distinct feeling we are both right and most important is that I
agree with you - that big Oak tree should have a plaque or some type of
marker /signage pointing out the "oldest tree in Minneapolis". A big
boulder by the tree with the implanted signage would be beautiful.
Right on!
