i've heard stories that the city filled lake sandy in
with dirt from lake of the isles.
now they are trying to get lake of the isles back to
more of a wetland area. what a big waste of time,
effort and money back then. for what? a golf course?
in an unrelated note: i love the new dog park on lake
of the isles. more importantly, my dog loves it. so
far the people and dogs i have met there have been
very thoughtful and friendly. i can't wait for the
one to open in columbia heights.
