My post, and its previous title, have apparently
offended some list members as being sexist. After I
read the Sunday paper I started writing this post and
since it was such a wonderful day, with a multitude of
backyard tasks to perform, I sent the post off with a
hastily written title. I do apologize to anyone who
found it to be a sexist, or offensive comment.

The advice I quoted however was as it was given to me.
I thought briefly about trying to change it but how
many times have you heard the description of a cosy
relationship between two parties as their "being in
bed together." I do believe I should have changed the
title so it didn't jump out so much, but how do you
change the analogy and still make the point?

The intent of the analogy was not to be sexist. Any
discussion of sexism distracts from the points I was
trying to make. I am not very politically correct at
times, but I do not find it productive for discussion
to be politically UN-correct just to make a point. I
will work at trying not to cross that line.
