Hi Folks:
Reasonable point. I think my post was talking about both Neva Walker and
Brian Herron. I do think some of the reason for lack of participation by
elected officials is that many aren't comfortable with the medium. At the
same time, I think it's important for list members to state explicitly if
they are posting on behalf of an elected official after talking to that
person -- as opposed to posting their own defense of an elected official --
and that was the point I was making in my post -- and I'm sorry if it came
accross as an "attack" on Neva Walker.
I've mentioned the lack of participation by other elected officials in
other posts. For example I am disappointed that she unsubscribed from the
list. Lisa McDonald has always shown herself well able to mix it up in the
occasionally rough and tumble rhetoric on this list -- and she's used the
list as a forum for sharply worded statements about the Mayor.
RT Rybak to his credit, responds to issues and questions regarding his
candidacy directly to the list.
