As someone who has a vested interest in at least one piece of the tax bill
discussion and who has had a significant portion of their professional time
and energies monopolized by the current negotiations I can testify that the
Mayor and City Leadership are neither sitting down nor being quiet.
If it appears so I suspect it is because their immediate audience is in St.
Paul.
