I find it curious that some contributors to this forum are eager to
rebuke individuals rather than rebut their ideas. I commend Mr. Rybak
for his initiative in presenting his opinions in a public forum like the
Star Tribune--a forum that invites rebuttal and is in a day seen by far
more citizens than will ever see this online discussion. Personally, I'd
like to see all office holders and candidates present more of their
thoughts, their complaints, and their vision for the city of
Minneapolis. Only with the open exchange of ideas can citizens make a
thoughtful and reasoned judgment on the future course of their city
government.
