Folks - just a reminder about the Minneapolis-list's focus:
General party proclamations should not be sent here. The Green Party
principles are laudable, but they are general party principles, and we need
our posts to focus on unique or particular Minneapolis impacts. Principles
are great, but this is an applied list - meaning the principles must be
discussed in a Minneapolis context.
I wouldn't allow general state or national DFL or Republican principles to
be posted here, either. Think globally, but focus locally.
Best,
David Brauer
List manager

GREEN DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
July 4, 2001
When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for a
people ennobled by the promise of freedom to transcend the political
bonds forged by long-standing loyalties and start anew, a decent
respect for the opinions of humankind requires that they should
declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
