Quatrefoil Library, the Twin Citys GLBT Library.

Get Ready for Ethel!
That's right, Ethel Merman will be appearing at 4:00pm Sunday,
July 15, at the Heights Theater in Minneapolis. This year's Film
Fundaraiser features There's No Business Like Show Business. The
proceeds from the event will benefit the Quatrefoil Library, the
Twin Cities' GLBT Library.
Along with Ethel you'll be entertained by Donald O'Connor, Marilyn
Monroe - quite a singer herself, Johnnie Ray, and Mitzi Gaynor.
This film is considered one of the most visually stunning and
lavish musicals of the 50's. The plot (little that there is)
concerns the times and trials of the "Donahues," an all-singing,
all-dancing, all drinking, all praying, all angst-ridden Irish
Catholic family of vaudevillian troupers.
Tickets are $10/adult and $5/youth and will be available at the
door. This is one of the largest events for the Quatrefoil Library
and is a critical part of its funding. The library receives no
public support and is entirely funded by private donations.
