Maybe that's a good thing for the drive. I've been wondering why they want
it this year.
Traditionally tax referendums are planned for state election years.
Presidential years are actually preferred. Why? because more people vote
in those elextions. The smaller turnout in city elections means that on
average, the voters are more conservative--more interested in keeping their
property taxes down.
