Hired guns ? PLEASE, they are not well funded nor organized.  They are a shell of an organization, but the do glow and bask in the massive publicity they get which would make any major corporation jealous because of democrats who want to share in their media attention and try to convince us that the DFL has a monopoly on care and compassion over the rest of us.
Rosenbloom has to worry more about tripping on a rusty nail more than the KKK.
St. Paul racist etc? Someone has no clue about our history. NONE.  It wasn't that long ago the largest mass lynching of blacks at one time was in .......ready for this........Duluth where three blacks were wrongly lynched for a crime that never happened.  Duluth residents took them from the jail and lynched them on the main drag from lamp posts and then posed for pictures, one of which was made into a postcard and sold into the hundreds of thousands from up there.  Obvious the person that thinks St. Paul is the center of racism in Minnesota is a product of an NEA education.
Harry Davis was one hell of a guy (but I didn't agree with his politics) and yes he got some grief running. But who recalls black "activists" and their threats to destroy Minneapolis (they did several million in damage) and to kill Charles Stenvig who had massive protection?  I hope nobody is claiming whites, related groups, or even white individuals had a monopoly on hate or racism.  Does the name Doctor Dillard ring a bell?  Matt Eubanks, Cyl Davis, Earthia Wiley?  They were so racist they wouldn't eat white bread.  History is easy to forget.
I dislike "holier than thou" and selective memory of our history.  Of course having lived it helps.  This constant concept that the DFL and nationwide that Democrats care more than anyone else and thrives on symbolism over substance is kinda hard to gag down unless you can be guided by that sort of thing.
Maybe the DFL needs some history lessons on who guided and fought against civil rights to the last day. It was the likes of Orville Fobus, George Wallace and their likes and ...ahem ahem....they were Democrats.  In fact you can look at see if Al Gore's father supported the civil rights bill.  About Minneapolis? It sure is.  Those long cold winters seem to freeze up our political memories.
Many of the concepts of the Democratic party here are very racist in content, application, and execution.  The silent effort to force blacks out of Minneapolis via over priced housing is a masterpiece.  As the blacks are forced northward into the city and slowly into the burbs the last black to leave might turn out the lights.
Who do you think populated most of the housing thats been torn down?  Reality bites.  When that building on Morgan Avenue north was torn down, who do you think lived there? When the city run housing on Olson Highway was torn down who do you think mostly populated it?  C'mon folks.  Had George Wallace tried that one we know the response.  Change the political hacks color and it's called urban renewal. Some has to say it.
