First I would like to say that my heart goes out to all or those that were
injured or lost a loved one in today's tragedy. I have kissed and hugged
everyone in my family and given thanks for them.
Today the people of Minneapolis have made it known that they want changes
made this year. I'm very excited. For the first time a strong third party is
actively involved and has already made a difference. Many of these persons
are past DFL. They all have good reasons for their change. Voters today
supported their decision. Yes, it is all about change. I too feel the urge to
change from the DFL and have been on the fence, but it is hard for me, I have
had my trust in the DFL for a long time. It is hard for me to understand how
city politics can change my mind about a whole party. But the voice of the
people seems to agree with my feelings.
Congratulations to all of the candidates that are advancing to the general
election.
Those of you that did not make it, you are still winners in my book. I
enjoyed meeting all of you.
