An interesting result of the election will be a significant change in the gender balance on the Minneapolis City Council. Current Council: 5 male, 8 female. Next Council: 8 male, 4 female, 1 unknown at this time. I wouldn't begin to guess if or how this will change how City Hall works. (I once read that men were competitive & combative in making decisions, while women made decisions gently and by consensus. Despite being 2/3rds female, I'd hesitate to use those terms to describe the atmosphere around City Hall for the past 4 years.)
