I've been a lurker here for over a year, but I'll break my silence to say that I was awfully glad to have something to celebrate last night. I told my wife, "you know, I'm feeling optimistic about R.T." as I returned from the polls. But I wasn't expecting such a decisive victory!
Wellstone's 1990 win against Big Money Boschwitz taught me that it isn't always a waste of time to vote for an outspent underdog, and I felt proud -- and still optimistic -- walking past my R.T. lawn sign as I left the house today.
Congratulations to R.T. and all his hard-working volunteers.
