Rybak annouces "coalition for change," including Ostrow, Goodman, and
independent Barret Lane. Both 10th ward survivors, Dan Niziolek and Doug
Kress, endorse Rybak, as does Greg Abbott, Lane's 13th ward opponent.
Sayles Belton press secretary Randy Shubring notes, ""R.T. the outsider
is now looking like R.T. the insider,"
Lane says Rybak is not too liberal. ""No. I can work with him. He at
least will say, 'Yes, we've got a problem and yes, it's going to take a
long time to work it out.'"
Related: Lisa McDonald and Mark Stenglein refuse to endorse for now.
""I'm going to take a couple days off on R&R and then I'm going to think
about it," McDonald said. "I have reservations in both cases."
