Yes, we had an election, and we can be damned proud of it, too!  Am I the 
only one who had it occur to them that Tuesday's terrible events did not take 
place on Election Day in one of the world's greatest democracies by 
coincidence?  New York has already re-scheduled their primary election for 
later this month, and I say, "more power to 'em!"  American men and women 
have fought and died for over two centuries to give us the right to vote, and 
I say we have a duty to do it.  Democacy and freedom from terrorism are 
something more substantial than a mere "political agenda" and should not be 
trivialized with comparisons to football and shopping.  Let the votes we cast 
on September 11 stand as a memorial to every man, woman and child who died 
that day in New York City, Washington, D.C., or a field in western 
Pennsylvania.
